National Science Teaching Association
This significant role, Associate Executive Director for Professional Development, coincided with a national financial crisis, presenting Dr. Miller with the dual challenge of overseeing science professional development at the national level and creating alternative revenue streams for the organization.
Savvas (formerly known as Pearson)
Dr. Miller made a significant impact in the textbook industry. While sought out by several companies, she collaborated with Savvas (formerly knowns as Pearson) as a lead author for two K-8 science programs: Interactive Science and Elevate Science.
Urban Science Education Leadership
At the national level, Dr. Miller played a pivotal role in overseeing professional development programs and actively participated in the review and training of teachers on the Next Generation Science Standards.
Delta Sigma Theta, Inc.
Dr. Miller extended her community impact by serving on the Dr. Betty Shabbaz Academy for young ladies, ages 11 to 14. In this capacity, she contributed to the inspirational team and served as the co-chair for the scholarship committee.

Dr. Miller actively participates on the scholarship committee and the International Trends facet, furthering her commitment to community enrichment.
Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
In her capacity as the Education Chair, Dr. Miller elevated the chapter's impact through a unique partnership with Bowie State University, enhancing the "Module Madness" initiative Module madness is a conference style activity for children in grades 3 through 12 where the engage in learning leadership and financial literacy skills.
